Everyone says "Self Care" but what is it? Looking on social media it can seem like face masks and day drinking with girlfriends, but self care is much more than that. It is an important skill set to survive in this modern world. Learn about the domains of self care, affordable self care, and why it's important. Learn what caring for your emotions and relationships look like (yeah, we're going to talk about boundaries!). Create your own self care goals and plan, and finish with a self care vision board- a collage, painting, or chart to help remind you of your goals. All materials provided.
When: Sunday Oct. 13 1pm-3:30pm
Cost: $40

Have you been wanting to try yoga but don’t know where to start? Have you tried a few classes but felt like it wasn’t right for you? Maybe a little instruction on the basic skills and philosophy of yoga will help you start a sustainable practice. This workshop will provide some foundational information to help you decide what type of classes are best for you and how to get the most out of any class. The first 45 min of this class will be instruction and demonstration, focused on a brief overview of the types and styles of yoga, an intro to the philosophy that underpins all yogic traditions, instruction on breathing exercises, and ways to use props and modifications for a safe physical practice. The second 45 minutes will be a beginners yoga class for an opportunity to put some of that information into practice. Join Valerie on January 26 for this exciting new workshop offered at Cedar Creek Wellness. No previous yoga experience needed. Please note that the office is on the second floor accessible only by stairs. Please let us know if you have any mobility issues or questions.
